The company name originates from the Biblical proverb, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” This scripture has inspired us both personally and professionally and is the foundation of the business. We aim to pay forward the positive impact that mentors have had on us by being a good mentor.
The vision of Iron Sharpens, Iron LLC is to serve as a conduit for individual empowerment, mentorship, personal and professional development leading to strengthened and inspired individuals and communities.
The biblical scripture from Proverbs 27:12 has always been a guiding principle for our CEO and Founder, commonly referred to as “Dee” Iron Sharpens Iron, LLC was established in June 2021 while Dee was living in Hawaii with her 15-year old son. Dee has been continually inspired by family and mentors throughout her 20 years of honorable military service as an Army Medic and Senior Leader, non-profit program and volunteer management experience, and continued service to the community in other capacities.
Dee wanted to establish an organization that would provide personal and professional empowerment, mentorship, and facilitated training opportunities.
Dee’s personal values, interests, and passion for helping others have been further enhanced through her educational achievements, which include:
Masters in Public Administration (MPA); and
Graduate Certificate in Health Care Management; and
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential.
She is trained and Certified as a Career Coach, Certified Workshop Facilitator, First Aid Instructor (American Red Cross), and Certified Life Coach. Her niche specialties as a Life Coach include:
